On the floor of the Rift Valley, this is a spectacular National Park. It has been a  blazing sea of deep pink flamingos which were in  – millions until some few years ago when the numbers started diminishing. However mid-2020, the birds have started coming back bringing back the glory of the birdlife.

The park is one of the rhino sanctuary with  Kenya’s largest populations of black rhino. On your game drive, you will come across zebra, hippo, olive baboon, vervet and colobus monkeys, waterbuck and hyena. You will see four of the big five which are lion, cheetah, leopard and buffalo. The park is fenced and cannot support elephants.  On a luck day through the park’s dense acacia forest you are likely to come across grazing  herds of impala and waterbuck. Large pythons hanging from the trees, African rock python capable of swallowing animals whole have been spotted here too.

The Cliff

This is a luxury tented camp with only 10 luxury rooms. The camp is perched at the top of a 100 metre high rock facing the Lake Nakuru down.

Mbweha Camp

Mbweha Camp is nestled up against the southern border of Lake Nakuru National Park with beautiful views over the Eburru and Mau ranges. Congreve Conservancy is part of the greater conservancy area called Soysambu which has a large part of Elementaita within its borders. With 10 Rustic lava-stone cottages with thatched roofs urrounded by euphorbia candelabra, yellow barked acacia and other indigenous trees the camp is located in a private Soysambu conservancy. It is at the fence of Lake Nakuru National park. Being outside the park it gives guests an opportunity for other activities like night game drives, cycling, walks and other activities that cannot be done inside the park.
