Bwindi Impenetrable forest offers Gorilla tracking as major tourist attraction with 4 gorilla tracking sites/ trail heads. Also 12 Mountain gorilla families have been habituated and are open for 8 tourists per day per gorilla family. Forest trails in the park lead to various attractions including Waterfalls, rivers, swamps and high level of wildlife concentration.

Day 1   Kibale

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport on your morning flight hours, catch your afternoon flight at 1200 eta KHX 1415 to Kasese (baggage allowance is 15 kg in soft sided duffel bags). Upon arrival at Kasese airstrip, you will be met by a primate expedition driver guide and transferred to the Lodge. Rest of the afternoon at leisure

 Day 2   Kibale

Early transfer to Kibale Forest NP (approx. 45 minutes), where all morning is dedicated to search for chimpanzees and other primate including: I’hoestes, red colobus, blues, red tailed and gray– cheeked mangabey. Return to the lodge in time to for lunch.

Day 3   Queen Elizabeth

Depart after breakfast, drive via Kasese to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and check in at Mweya safari lodge. Late afternoon game drives returning to the lodge before dusk for dinner and overnight

 Day 4   Queen Elizabeth

In the early morning we do a game drive in Kasenyi area, within Queen Elisabeth NP, on a look out for the lions, buffalos, elephants, and large numbers of Uganda Kobs and other antelopes. After we will go back to the lodge for breakfast and relax until lunch time. At 1400 hours, we will go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel (2 hours approx.), to look out for the hippos, great herds of buffaloes, and lots of water birds

 Day 5   Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve

Breakfast and thereafter depart via Ishasha home of tree climbing Lion to Bwindi Impenetrable NP, home of the endangered mountain gorilla arriving late afternoon

 Day 6   Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve

Breakfast and take a short transfer to Bwindi NP headquarters where you will meet up with excellent local guides/rangers and trackers, who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. Thereafter, hike into the forest with your packed lunch. Return to the camp and free afternoon/evening to relax.

Day 7   Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve

Today we do a second trek or alternatively, we could opt for the Batwa experience

Batwa Trail pygmy experience. Enjoy a day in the forest with the Batwa elder guides. You will learn from them how their ancestors survived in the forest as hunter/gatherers, what they ate, how they hunted, the plants and herbs they used for medicines and how they dance, sing and socialize. Listen to their fascinating stories and legends of their forbearers.

Day 8   Entebbe

After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your flight (0945 eta EBB 1125) to Entebbe arriving in time for your onward flight.
